Looking for Cemetary - Briscoe
« on: Monday 25 August 08 18:04 UTC (UK) »

We visited Offaly County 5 years ago and visited St Peters Rhode Church where my gggr father Nicholas Briscoe
and Mary Bryne were married and their children baptized.   We looked at the church cemetery and there were no graves with the Briscoe name.   Paddy from Rhode Parish suggested maybe Daigen area but we didn't make it past Croghan Hill.  Does anyone have any information on any burial locations for the Briscoe's of Offaly....  I have seen the detailed writeup regarding Briscoe origin into Offaly County from the Offaly History Website as well.

Best Regards...

I know from my own hunting out cemeteries that sometimes there in the middle off no where ,I've walked over many a field in Ireland on the trail of a cemetery.Hopefully someone with better knowledge then me maybe able to help you,one other thing that may help do you know their religion ?
