Audley End Suffolk
« on: Saturday 30 August 08 21:20 UTC (UK) »

Hi There,
Can any body help,
I have been doing some research into the Audley Surname and have created a web site
www.audleyfamilyhistory.com to share my research. I have recently added a page 'Places called Audley'.
I understand that in Sufolk to the south west of Lawshall at OS Map reference TL855 353 is a place called Audley End.

Does anybody drive through Audley End . If so would they be prepared to take a couple of digital photographs of Audley End and e-mail them to me so that I can put them on my website. I would acknowledge the photographer on the webside.

I hope the link below will take you to a map of Audley End.

Many thanks
Regards

Audley End is the next farmhouse along from Brighthouse Farm on, what we refer to as, the back road home from Bury St Edmunds.

I know Brighthouse Farm as it is a camping/caravaning and B+B farmhouse.

All that is at Audley End today is the farm.

I can remember going to Hibb's Green in the same parish many years ago to take photographs for a researcher, but there is nothing remaining of the cottages that were once there.  Often these were demolished (or fell down) in the 1930s.

I do have a hospital appointment at Bury on Wednesday, if I can have the digital camera (John uses it for work too), I will see what I can do for you.
