I've got some more info.
His father was James Joseph Pearce born 1872 USA, died 12 Oct 1966, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, UK. He was a well known horse trainer who in 1960s trained the Australian Olympic Equestrian team.
Mother Margaret Sarah Perkins born 1882 USA.
Bother James Townsend Pearce born 1903 Barnstaple, Devon died in WW2 India 1945.
Sister Margaret Norton Pearce born 1908 Rugby, Warwickshire, UK, died 1994 Oxford.

It mightn't do any harm to contact organisations such as the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association to establish whereabouts Teddy Pearce lived in Ireland www.itba.ie
