Hiya I dont know if this is of any help to anyone but I have started a website for Brotton History

I have quite a few old photographs of various places in Brotton if any one wants  any.  Also I am currently adding census records (it's taking a while)  but  If you need me to look for anything in the meantime let me know.

I have a section of unidentified photos too if your having problems identifying people or places.

not sure if i'm allowed to post the link to the site hee maybe someone could tell me if its ok, if not pm/email me and i'll give you the link.

I've been working on it for a couple of months but I have losts more to add, now the kids are back at school I should be able to get more done.

If anyone has any old photos or even school photos or family photos newspaper clippings etc or just interesting stiores, please feel free to pass them on i'll put them on the site

Julie, this looks really good, thanks for the link. I don't have Brotton ancestry but I did go to school with people who lived there so I shall be interested in seeing of any of them sign the guestbook. Also have a cousin who lives in New Brotton - must tell him about the site in case he doesn't know.

I am interested in the mining history of the area so shall be checking the site from time to time.
