Does anyone remember the old fish & chip shop which was on the Horsefair, Kidderminster which was run by Beatrice & Percy Cooper?
I believe that the shop had to be demolished around 1964 in order for the new ring road to be built.
If anyone knows any information about the shop or the Coopers I would love to hear from you please. I especially would like to obtain a picture if at all possible.

Ive no info sorry but remember the chippy well & was a customer there when I lived in Kidderminster & my late Dad & I ran a shop in Stourbridge Rd (on the opposite corner to the old Queens head before it was made into flats) - I hope you are a local to Kidder or else this is going to sound a bit odd to you 
By the way there is a book on broadwaters that covers some of the old Horsefair but of hand I cant remember how much of it.

I was born in the Horsefair area, and remember 3 chip shops, one was by the Peacock pub, one was the Italians opposite the bottom or Hurcott Road, and the other was a terraced house in Broad St, the only one which was knocked down was the Italian one, (in the last 5 years), the other 2 properties are still standing. I can't remember any chips being demolished for the building of the Ring Road (about 1966-1968).
Phil I also remember the shop you ran on the corner of Lark Hill, as I lived in Eddy Road till the early sixties, my parents used to drink in the Queens Head.

my late dad & I used to run the grocers shop (Silvester sons & Heeks Ltd) opposite the Queens Head (or block of flats as it is now) - the site wher our grocers was is now houses (I have a photo sent to me by a mate in Kidder).
Getting back to the chip shop - I had a good look in my book on Broadwaters & the Horsefair but there are no mentions of any of the Chippies & I was surprised that theres not even a reference to Pagget the hairdresser.
