Hi thereaper

My Gt. Grandfather was George Moore born 1851 Spon Lane and he did have a daughter Hannah.  She was my Grandmother's sister.  I don't know much about Hannah, but I'll sort my papers out and get back to you later.  Perhaps we can compare notes.

Regards, Jackie.

By all means. Hannah Moore or Annie as she's known is on my wifes side of the family. I have set up a site of genesreunited & ancestry.co.uk, but still have some rooting around to do. I think we have a photo somewhere so I'll scan it & send it on.

A photograph of Hannah Moore would be wonderful.  The only photo I have is of my Grandmother, Esther, in later life, but you are welcome to a copy if you would like one.  I've done some research on the family, but it's still work in progress, but you are welcome to any additional information I might h

Some of the Johnson family members listed by Ann Cooper in her 10 April post were my forebears.  John and Peter Johnson were brothers, working on the Mersey-Trent canal from the late 1830s onward.  Some of their children were born at Sandbach in Cheshire, others at Stoke-on-Trent, and some at Wolverhampton.  Quite a few of them were baptised - and later married - at St Mary's church, Wolverhampton, which was close to the canal basin.  Another of the Johnson brothers was George, also a boatman, whose youngest son Reuben was landlord of the White Horse Inn at Middlewich.  I have quite a lot of information about 'my' Johnsons, and I would be very happy to share it.

Hi Kerry

Alas, I don't have any photos of my canal family - I wish I had! - but if you would like a family tree for your website I'd be glad to let you have one.

Cheers
