Hi Stovepipe
Here is info from the Findon marriage entry of 21st Jul 1804
Richard Berry of Clapham bachelor and Abigail Ford of this parish spinster married by banns. Both parties made their mark. Witnesses were Geo Holford signed (he appears as witness for several marriages so is probably a church official) and Richd Binsted made his mark.

Hi Crystal
I couldn't find a baptism for Harriet Teesdale c 1811 in Broadwater, have yet to check Worthing for you, but this burial would fit with her being the one baptised 1804
Broadwater Burial Dec 29 1856 Harriett Teesdale of Worthing age 53 yrs

Stovepipe Glad the extra info was useful
Suey Yes it really does flesh a family out looking at the parish registers - they can tell quite a story. I/you struck lucky with Bolney as there was an ancient falling apart indexed transcript from which I was able to pick up some extra events that I'd missed on the fiche.

Hi Janan, Thanks for your kind offer. It would be great if you could do a couple of look-ups for me.... sorry if thats being greedy! Firstly, a marriage for a Job Elliott to an Elizabeth Saunders 20th November 1838 in Boxgrove parish, and then a marriage for an Elizabeth Elliott to a James Wells in Singleton Parish this was in the March Qtr of 1892[ not sure what month] This lady was my Gt Gt Grandmother and my biggest brickwall of my research, so any info on her would be marvellous. Thanks in advance for your help. Lornadoone

Hi Janan:
A most kind offer and I wonder if you might have time to explore the Lodsworth PR for a baptism of a Richard Yaldwyn/Yaldwin born around 1678 (+/- 1 yr)? His mother may have been called "Jane". He was reputedly from Blackdown/Lurgashall and I believe Lodsworth is the correct parish though I'm not familiar with the West Sussex parishes... so, if I've made an obvious error please just let me know and I'll re-think .
Thanks!
Rachel

Hi Rachel
Lurgashall is a parish in its own right so I will check that first, then Lodsworth if can't see him. Bear in mind that if I don't find him it doesn't mean he isn't there (particularly if no transcripts available) as the earlier general registers can be difficult to read

Fingers crossed they aren't too bad! At least they are on fiche, I find filmed records impossible to read.

Hi Suey
If he was baptised in Bolney I think I would have picked him up on my previous foray into the transcripts but will check again for you.
