CHURCH CLERGY - Names & Dates

The Church of England has an online database which you can search by persons or places.  It gives the history of the movement to each parish a vicar was appointed to and also details any promotion - very handy if you think you had a man of the cloth as an ancestor.

Here's another church website with an online database. The website gives other genealogy information if you can follow it - I found, and then couldn't find it again, a page giving a comprehensive list of archbishops going back in time:-
