McDonald/More
« on: Saturday 06 September 08 21:51 UTC (UK) »

John McDonald and Elizabeth More married in Elgin 6 June 1856.  Elizabeth was previously married to George Morrison.  John and Elizabeth had the following children: Donald; Godfrey; Isabella; Louisa; Elizabeth; Johanna; George and Dorothy.  I have some info on this family but is there anyone who is also researching them?

Hi Tricia,
My More family came from Elgin, Moray via Rosemarkie Ross & Cromarty.  Any connection?

Elizabeth More
Christening: 15 MAR 1833 Rosemarkie, Ross And Cromarty, Scotland t Donald More & Margaret Elder
Did you get any further back on Donald's line.

I am a Caithness More but they must have been somewhere prior to 1700.
Also some of mine were to be found moving back to Ross Inv Moray Banff etc.
