Inspired by MarkyP and daval57, I thought it may be a good idea to list WW1 medals currently for sale on Ebay.
I only intend adding items where family name is identified. I'll try not to miss any.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Moderator Comment: Please be aware that these lists are constantly changing. If you found this page through a search engine, but can't find the name you are seeking for, then it could be that it has been deleted, as the auction is now over.
Please note, for items highlighted in red, the auction has finished. These will be deleted shortly.
You have to be careful when buying medals etc, on EBay or such other sites, It is quite easy to have replicas made and names addred for authenticity.
I am not saying these are, but to be careful.
If you are a member of ebay, you can search for surnames relevant to you - go to medal section and put your names in brackets in the search box like this: (Smith, Brown, etc) allow it to search and save it as a search remember to select notification for 12 months. That way you'll receive emails.
I've done that for my gt grandfather - it was said his son was playing with them and lost them....And he was an 'Old Contemptible' ... sigh!
