Allen - Spetchley

Hi - I've come to a standstill tracing my Dad's Mom's family.  The Allens lived in Elmley Castle, Little Comberton and Great Comberton but I'm now as far back as 1808 and I'm trying to trace the birth (and therefore parents of) John Allen who was born in Spetchley, Worcestershire c.1808.  I got his place of birth from the last available census and worked out his date of birth from his age at that time but just cannot get any further with this.  Please help.

I had a look but can't find the family on the 1841 Census. I did find his marriage to Sarah Harris in 1830 on the IGI. I think the only way forward may be to ask for a look up of the parish records.
