I need proof that Sarah GLOVER who married Samuel BONNIN, 11.Jan.1801. at Prestbury, Cheshire, was the daughter of Thomas GLOVER and Sarah SNELSON who married, 5, June,1769, at St Burtoline, Barthomley, Cheshire. This info is from another researcher, he says there are church records for this area and time but I can't find them. He is in South Africa and I'm in Australia so we both rely on the internet. Thomas and Sarah did have a daughter named Sarah, but how do I find out if she is the wife of Samuel BONNIN? Any help will be most appreciated. Leonie.

Um, not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but just to clarify, you say that Thomas and Sarah married in 1869, and their daughter Sarah may have married Samuel in 1801? Do you mean 1901?
If so, the marriage certificate of Sarah and Samuel will give father's names.
... Or Sarah or any of her sibling's birth certificates will give parent's names ....

... it's usually the other way round with me - I mean to write 1995 and write 1895 instead.
Some Cheshire records under United Kingdom here: http://www.rootschat.com/links/03f6/
I've never had any luck with Cheshire records on this site but you might ... another thought, Leonie, do you think this might get more responses if it was on the Cheshire board (I think you can ask a mod to move it.)
Good luck.

Hi Leonie
There won't be a certificate that long ago, I'm afraid!
I'll move this to the Cheshire board so that the locals can have a look for you.
Kind regards, Arranroots
