Could entrants be persuaded to put more than say "Wiltshire Baptism wanted". A surname or place added to the title would probably be more productive as I now ignore vague titles as being a waste of time, but I might have had something useful to add.

How can I get rid of the heading which tells me there is a new message for me. I have read it so many times in the hope that it will go away, but no chance.
Happy New Year. Toby.

Do you mean this line ?

Welcome back, toby webb, you have xx messages, 3 are new.

This refers to your Private Messages (PM), and is always there.
If you read the messages, then the last bit will read "... 0 are new"

This has been mentioned (demanded, requested, complained about etc.) so many  times before, but  we have no way of "persuading" anybody.

Some do, some don't;  all we can do is ask  Smiley

"In an ideal world .....    ", etc, etc
RootsChatters are great, but even RootsChat is not an ideal world.
