Roscommon marriage

Can anyone look this marriage up and save me a trip to Ireland.
I need confirmation or further details on marriage
Francis Patrick O'toole to Harriet Regan
11 Dec 1883 Boyle, Roscommon.

If someone can get me the details of this marriage without me getting a certificate I would be grateful. Would like reference details for a later date to get certificate later.

on http://www.irish-roots.ie/  I get a match for Harriet in Boyle Civil Records :

   Civil Marriage    Regan    Harriet    1883    Co. Roscommon

however there is no matching marriage in Boyle for anybody name O'Toole. These are the marriages for the county area :

It looks like either one of the two Patrick marriages in 1883 - now a church or a cvial wedding or it is the same marriage recoreded twice?

What is the reference numbers on them? Are they the same or different.

The basic search does not show any visible reference numbers but I would expect that they would be different.

As registrations details were recorded both by the church and the state there would be two sets of records for each event which can contain slight differences.

I have looked at the website you listed and it looks like I have to sign in to see the records. Is there anything else I should know about of how to get this record. Can I read the records e.g parents names ect without having to order both sets of marriage certificates. All I have to go on is the husband's army record. That he was in the army. Does it show this on the marriage certificates listings or does it just the names of the people getting married.

you have to register at no cost to do the searches and only have to buy credit to view the details. Any 'cert' you purchase is displayed in the screen.

The marriage search for Roscommon does not seem to allow any details other than one name, year & optionally parish. I think the birth searches allow a fathers first name to be used - but this depends on the detail of the record.

From what I've seem on this site, and in actual parish registers, details vary greatly from parish to parish and year to year. Sometimes you can get a full marriage cert with addresses, fathers names, witnesses and comments, other times all you get is two names and a date!

The Patrick O'Toole 1883 records are from Boyle Civil, and Boyle RC Parish Records.
