This is indeed a great resource, un fortunately Im not sure if its me or the computer but it has terrible download time.
But it pays to become a member so you can edit those horrible mistakes in the digitised version.
And then get a clear readout when you print it. I have done several already.

Floozy the 'errors' occur because of the way the papers have been 'digitised' using optical character recognition.
From the NLA website
OCR is short for 'Optical Character Recognition'. It is a method of converting text contained in images, which cannot normally be searched, into text that is fully searchable. This is completed through the use of OCR software.
You don't have to become a member to 'correct' the text. I have no problem with slow downloads. I wonder if others do?
I have corrected all my family announcements etc. Took ages

Thanks for the extra info cando, I am fairly familiar with this process. I have also updated my family information. I do hope I dont find a big text to edit lol.
