Inverness High School
« on: Thursday 18 September 08 01:27 UTC (UK) »

Looking for information on a :
COOKERY TEACHER at Inverness High School, possibly at least in years around 1920's or 1930's - MISS FRASER (known to all as"Delicious"- must have been a good cook!)  I think her first name was Mona or something similiar.  I have written to I.H.S. without reply.
I think her father was Duncan Fraser, who lived in The Haugh, Ness Bank Road and had a business in 15 Falcon Square, Inverness.
Family lore says 'Delicious' was a sister of PETER FRASER (my husband's grandfather) or maybe a cousin?    Any former students out there, who could help?   Ruth MacLeod

Hola,

If you try friends reunited you might find an ex pupil who would know.  I went to the high school for a while in the 80's and one of  the cookery teachers had been there since my Mam was at school in the 50's!
Sorry I can't remember her name but I do remember she always wore her hair in two pleats which were then rolled around like you would expect to see in an architypical picture of a Danish person with cloggs.

Best of Luck
