Hello, looking for anyone who may have any connection to these names. I have family ancestors with these names, who lived in Duntocher, and have a reasonable amount of information which I would like to take further. If you recognise any of these can you get in touch please?

Hi firsttimer,
I don't have much info for you but my great uncle, John Mochan married Catherine McGlinchey in 1913. She was the daughter of Hugh McGlinchey & Margaret Colligan. Catherine & John had 3 children - John, Thomas & Hugh Mochan. My grandfathers 3rd wife was also
a McGlinchey - Mary Ann. I know that Catherine & Mary were related, but I don't know how - perhaps you do? My grandfathers 1st wife (my granny) was John Mochan's sister.

Hello, thanks for replying, I appreciate your help. I don't recognise any of your names regarding McGlinchey. I have however some details which I will tell you to find out if you recognise what I have. My great granny had a sister called Isabella McDermid who married a man called Michael McGlinchey in 1907. His parents were called Mary Quin and Thomas McGlinchey. They went on to have 'lots' of children, or so I've been told, one of which was also called Michael McGlinchey, who was born in 1907. So far though I don't have the names of any other children, but I'll get onto that soon, when I get some more time. Don't know if we have a connection, but it's worth trying I suppose. Thanks very much.
