Thanks for the reply Johnathan W has given me that info in yhe general sect.The paish was Compton and Richards Mother was Hannah not Sarah as I had thought.Iam now looking for a marriage between Janes Woodage and Lucy Elizabeth Hannah ? at Compton or  Cheiveley.Any help appreciated. Marriage abt 1812 thanks again Pips

Hi Pip

I had a quick look at the register transcripts for Compton and I am afraid the marriage is not there - however they had a daughter (Susanna) baptised 25th July 1802 in Compton so I think you should take your search date back a bit.

James was buried in Compton 20th April 1848 aged 71 - which I am fairly sure aould make him the son of Richard & Hannah Woodage baptised in Blewbury (next door parish to Compton) 12th April 1778.

Lucy Hannah Elizabeth was buried as plain Hannah Woodage in Compton in 1842 aged 63

Thanks Debbie that is helpful and maybe I will also need to look in the surrounding parishes for the marriage.Susannah variously known as Sussannah susan hannah is the mother of Richard b,1826 my g,g, grandfather. Thanks again Pips
