Elizabeth Palmer Death Record help needed

Hello
I am looking for a death record for Elizabeth Palmer died 1848 to 1851
Elizabeth  Abercrombie was married to David Palmer on 30.07.1845 at Old Machar.
They had a son James Palmer  born Aberdeen in 1848.I cannot find out anything about her after James was born.I have looked on the 1851 census but can only find David and 3 year old James but It looked like David has remarried [he didn't waste time}in 1851 to a Isobel Beatie.
Could someone please point me in the right direction as to where to look next.
Also how would I find out who David Palmer's parents are as they are not listed on the opr marriage cert.

Hello,

Welcome to Rootschat. 

From the IGI - James Robb Palmer was ch. on 02 NOV 1848   Saint Nicholas, Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland .  Couldn't find any other children for the couple. 

To get David Palmers parents you'd need to follow him through census records and then find a death 'window' - unless you already know it.  In Scotland the entry will give both parents names and also mothers maiden name - assuming the informant knew it .  Got go ...  work calls...  Steve  :O)

Thanks Steve for your reply.  James Robb Palmer is my Great grandfather.I looked up a death cert for David Palmer going on the age from the 1851 census and I found it with his wife being the same Isobel Beatie.It listed his parents as David Palmer and Christine Gilem.I think that is what it said as the writing is hard to read.I then did a OPR search for a marriage for Palmer & Gilem.One came up for Agnes Gilem not Christine.I am not sure is Agnes short for anything?I am not still sure if the David Palmer that married Isobel Beatie is the same one who married Elizabeth Abercrombie.Going by the ages of this David he was 40 something when he first got married.
