Trying to find parents

I am trying to find the parents of a Thomas Percival Spoors born 1904 in Hartlepool Durham, without the expense of sending for a birth cert!!!

He married Georgina Knight Hewson in 1924.

Can anyone help??

Marriages March qtr 1904

Sarah Elizabeth 1908
William Allen 1910

John Albert and Hilda were both b 1885

The 1911 index has always been free to search.  You have to pay to view the transcript/image

the 1904 marriage appears on 'tees valley indexes' under '999' and this means the marriage was at a register office, catholic or non-conformist church.

the 1924 marriage was at st hilda's church. hartlepool and thomas' surname on 'tees valley indexes' has been transcribed as spoon!

the marriage at st hilda's church in the ancient borough of hartlepool on 29 november 1924.

thomas percival spoors, age 21 and a bricklayer.
17 turnbull street in west hartlepool.
son of john albert spoors.


georgina hewson, age 20.
19 henry street in hartlepool.
daughter of william hewson.
