From Beavis' 1851 transcription

1851 Bathford
HO107 1943 495 20

JAMES Thomas 65 Pauper Quarryman seend
Ann 64 Dickeridge Wilts
Abraham 24 Groom Bathford, Som.
John 21 Quarryman Bathford, Som.

I cannot see Caroline in either Bathford or Bathwick. But there is a George Bendall and family in Bathwick. Would you like that one, just in case?

This branch is documented in Section 5.3 of Bendall Family History Notes a copy of which is at the Society of Genealogists, London (see ancestry.com message board for the surname 'Bendall'). Earliest member of this branch found so far is George Joseph Bendall (1786-1843).

Thank you so much for letting me know.
I'll try the SOG to see if I can get a photocopy.

I can email you a copy of this section, it would save having to go via the SoG.  My contact details are at the ancestry.com message board (as per previous reply).

Hi,

I see this is an old thread but my GG Grandfather was a George Bendell. His Australian marriage certificate shows his birth place as Bath around 1836/37 but I am having trouble finding his family as I have conflicking information. Any information you might have would be appreciated.

Thanks Deb
