Matthews - Philip or Tully b1776
« on: Wednesday 18 November 09 02:16 UTC (UK) »

Tully Matthews was convicted in Dundalk in 1808 and transported to Australia in 1809 on the convict ship the "Boyd". His approx birth in 1776 in co Louth. Research indicates he may have been born "Phillip (Philip) Matthews (Mathews)" - possibly changed to protect his identity?
Any clues on the birth of either a Tully or Philip Matthews (Mathews) in the area most appreciated
