Hello all, I am new to chat, and the Burts of Dunfermline are my primary interest.

I do have a number of births transcribed from parish records, 1655-1811.
I also have some of the genealogy that my 3rd ggf worked on while visiting his family in Dunfermline.

I KNOW the name Arminta Wright is in one or both sets of records.  I need to catch upon the other thread mentioned, and then I will start looking through the records I have and see what I can come up with.

In the meantime, I am happy to meet other Burt family members.

I have a John Burt (or maybe father and son) as witnesses at the following baptisms (mother and daughter)  in Dunfermline. The Burt and Shipherd/Shephird etc families were probalby friends, or maybe John Burt was an elder in the Kirk.
