Hi Alison
Not sure if you haven't received notifications from your post on the Stirling board www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,329861.0.html. We covered a lot of ground on the family including Mary Dickson Gray married in 1923 in Whitburn (William McIntyre).

A bothy is a basic shelter, usually left unlocked and available for anyone to use without charge. It was also a term for basic accommodation usually for gardeners or other workers on an estate. Bothies are to be found in remote, mountainous areas of Scotland, northern England and Wales. They are particularly common in the Scottish Highlands

Hi Alison and Monica,
I decided to take a look for Mary's death, to see if there was clues to children. Unfortunately it looks like Mary died quite young herself. She died aged 40, in 20th February 1929 at Biallid (?), Newtonmore.
To find Mary and William's son's death, you will need to narrow down when he died; 1940s or 50s, etc.
