Templeton's of Wigtownshire

Hi

Trying to trace my Templeton ancestors.  Not having much sucess in finding out where Samuel Templeton was born c1831.  I am unsure who his parents and siblings are and seem to have hit a stumbling block!  On the later censuses for him, I have him living in Newcastle with his wife and family, and he states he was born in Creetown, Kirkmabreck, but no birth record exists for him for there, only for a Samuel Templeton b 1820, who went on the marry and live with his wife in Liverpool.  On my ancestor Samuel's sons death record it records his father as originating in Troon, Ayrshire - hence my confusion!

I'd appreciate any help with Templeton's!

Within the search years 1805-1815 in scotland there is one birth of an Adam TEMPLETON (they are not all on the BIVRI however)

TEMPLETON, Adam
Birth Date:14 Feb 1810
Birthplace:Ardrossan, Ayr, Scotland
Father:James TEMPLETON
Mother:Margret WILSON

He's the last one of 8 children so if you think he's yours I can give you the rest.
