Hi all,

Ok, got the BC of Mary Clarke back - was very excited - opened it ......................... don't even think its the right one. Sad It's for a 2 year old Mary Clarke who's Reg District is THETFORD UNION, Sub District METHWOLD and not the Wangford which I ordered.

Anyone any ideas what could have gone on here?

I ordered:

Mary Clarke
1840
Mar qtr.
Wangford
Volume: 13
Page: 230

Just noticed too, on the Order Summary/Receipt, the District has been missed off. The year and page number etc is all there but nothing under District. Huh

Any ideas?

Just searched FreeBMD for Mary Clarke in WANGFORD and THETFORD and it returns just the one result, the Mary mentioned above.

But METHWOLD is miles from my the area I asked for.

Just looked at the actual image on Freebmd.

Transcriber error. Definitely Thetford not Wangford.

Just a thought - If you specified Wangford when you ordered the cert, shouldn't they have rejected it? Maybe you are entitled to a refund?
