C16th onwards, this family had origins in the Nuneaton area of WAR (Chilvers Coton). My research so far concludes the name became extinct around 1878 in the UK. It is possible some connected families still survive having emigrated from the UK. Contact with New York-based DUFKINs suggest they have a Lithuanian connection. All references of interest, plus general curiosity on the names origin in this region of England.
