HOGAN and STOKES Families, Hubberston, Pembrokeshire
« on: Thursday 02 October 08 22:17 UTC (UK) »

Hi All

My STOKES and HOGAN Ancestors were born and lived in Hakin, Hubberston and Pembroke Dock.

Is anyone able to tell me if all these places are close to each other and whether or not there are any online indexes for PRs in this area?

Thanks, Graham

I believe Hakin and Hubberston are villages right next to each other in Milford Haven .Pembroke Dock about 8 miles from there. If you put up details of families ill have a look for you.
I have a book Pembrokeshire People which has everyone who lived in Pembroke Dock in the early 1800s however it is indexed under occupations not surnames so if you are back that far and know their occupations let me know and i will see if i can find them

Hi Welsh Lady - thanks for your help.

My interests lie with the marriage of John STOKES to Martha HOGAN at some stage around 1835?

John STOKES was born circa 1816 and was a Shipwright.

Martha HOGAN was born circa 1813 and was the daughter of Thomas HOGAN and Lettice EVANS. Thomas was also a Shipwright.

The Family seemed to live at Hakin, Hubberston and Pembroke Dock.

If you were able to find out anything on these people I'd be extremely happy!

Thanks, Graham
