Suffolk Stray in Essex - Thomas GOODMAN 1787

A long shot here - I'm trying to track down whereabouts in Suffolk my family came from before settling in Essex.

So far, I have tracked back using the censuses to Thomas Goodman born around 1787.  Although he settled in, and married a girl from, Prittlewell near Southend in Essex, the censuses all give just Suffolk as his birthplace.

My question, therefore, is:  Do any of you GOODMAN researchers out there in Suffolk have a christening/birth of a Thomas Goodman in or around 1787 who then disappeared from the radar?

I would appreciate any leads.
