Who now holds the Burnham Births Registers?

Which register office now holds the Burnham (a sub-district of the Eton Reg District) Registers? Apparently they were moved to one of the following Register offices in 1974:-

Chiltern Hills, Aylesbury Vale, Windsor & Maidenhead and Slough

I would think Aylesbury. We only have a small library in Windsor witrh few records and no record office.

Why not email Aylesbury County Record office and ask  Wink

archives AT buckscc.gov.uk replace AT with @

Would have thought Aylesbury is the only one of the four that would definitely not cover Burnham as Burnham is in S Bucks near Slough, Windsor & Chilterns but nowhere near Aylesbury.

N.B. this relates to District BMD Registers not Parish Registers

Aylesbury is home to the Buckinghamshire County Record office though and would know where to find the Burnham Records.

They hold St Peter's Burnham baptisms up to 1953.

I can see from you original request supermoussi that you know that what you need is Registry offices/Registrars NOT archives or record centres like the Buckinghamshire County Record office who will have baptismal records but NOT birth registers.

Why not use the good old site GENUKI and go to:

http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/eton.html

This gives Burnham as a sub district of Eton along with Eton, Iver and Slough with the registers presently divided between, Chiltern Hills, Aylesbury Vale, Windsor & Maidenhead and Slough districts.

Go to the link above and click on the highlighted links at the bottom of that page to find contact details of the present registration district offices and email one of them to find who has Burnham,
