HI,
I have an Elizabeth Pearce marrying Solomon Ridgley in Bledlow Bucks on 17.05.1817. She is buried on 15.05.1825 and her age is given as 25.
However I have not been able to find her baptism.
I have come across a baptism for an Elizabeth Pierce (d John and Sarah) in Great Marlow on 10.05.1804. If anyone has access to Great Marlow marriages, could they see if Elizabeth marries please?

Hi, I have the marriages for All Saints Gt Marlow, there are no marriages for an Elizabeth Pearce, only an Elizabeth Piercy who married a James Harding 3rd June 1819.
Looked up marriages at All Saints Gt Marlow for a John and Sarah Pearce, none for a John Pearce, there was one for a John Pearcy to a Sarah Clark by Banns 13.2.1774 and a John Piercy to a Sarah Plucknutt by Banns 21.1.1799.
Was hoping perhaps to find an Elizabeth under the names Pearcy, Piercy in baptisms Gt Marlow. Only Elizabeth was the one you had found baptised 10.5.1804.
I'm afraid these details will not be of much use, sorry, but tried.
Noticed you had the surname Harris in Bucks, all my Harris ancestors came from Gt Marlow.

Thanks for the information on Pierce and Piercy. I have actually widenened my search to include Pizzey, Pusey, Pearce etc. One day I will find her.
My Harris collection came from just over the hill. Mainly West Wycombe, and then they started using Lane End when that opened. I actually have an Esther Webb marrying Samuel Harris in Great Marlow on 27.07.1807. So I am sure we are connected somewhere back down the line.

I have Harris' at West Wycombe too. My Harris' end with Ann Harris b. 1809 West Wyc who married William Cutler at Dorney in 1834. Her parents were Henry and Pathina. What is your link?
I have Lane End PR's on disc if you need lookups. I have checked for the Pearce baptism in Stokenchurch and Fingest but couldn't find anything

Just had a quick count up and Daniel Ridgley was my ggggg grandfather. As you probably are aware John was Solomans older brother.
We have yet to find Daniels birth details. But so far the best theory is a baptism of Daniel Lisley in Princess Risborough in 1771. When I get time I must look into this a bit more as the Ridgley name was not common in Buckinghamshire before this time.
My Ridgley name came down all the way to my Grandmother who married in 1936 and although we cannot extend the Ridgley name back very far yet. Daniels wife Joyce Lacey has a lot of traceable relatives.

My Harris start with Thomas who died in 1715 and continue through to Minnie who dies in 1959. They seemed to live in the valley between Fingest, West Wycombe then High Wycombe.
I have a record of a Henry born on 25.11.1781 although I have not made a note of who he marries as he is the older brother of my ancester Samuel. Their father was Thomas and they were born in the West Wycombe area. Any connection?

Yes that is my Henry. He married Pathina (Surname Unknown) at West Wycombe (probably) in about 1808. I haven't delved into deep research. Yes I think then Samuel is his brother. I have West Wycombe MI's for Harris surname; are any of them yours?

I am also researching the Pearces in Bledlow Ridge. My GGGGrandfather Thomas Pearce was born in 1805 to Henry and Ann Pearce. Unfortunately I can't obtain any marraige or birth info for the parents, the source I have suggests the parish records for 1800 - 1803 are sketchy, which would fit with why you can't find Elizabeths birth.
Henry was buried 24.07.1822, aged 51, and Ann was buried 10.12.1824 aged 52. Bledlow has 3 Anns born in Bledlow in the right period - one for each of 1772 - 1774, but without the marraige I think this is the end of the line for tracing her. There isn't a Henry Pearce born in Bledlow anywhere near 1771, so he may have been born out of parish.

I was just clearing my desk for back to work on Wednesday when I came across a scrap of paper saying Elizabeth Pearce had a sister Mary.
Mary Persey b 25.11.1792 in Radnage
So I had a look at Radnage Parish records and the following record jumped out
21.10.1792 Henry Persey of West Wycombe married Ann Standbrook of Radnage - spinster.
25.11.1792 Baptism of Mary d Henery and Ann Persey
16.02.1794 Baptism of Edmund Pearce s of Henery and Ann.
I had not really thought too much about the different variation of Pearce beyond Pierce etc. But their are loads of Pifsey, Persey, Piesy, Pisey, Pissey Pissie, Pizey in Radnage, so I will have to widen my search.
