Help needed plse. John Barker (no other details) had son Henry around 1858 . Henry was 33 when he married for the second time in December 1891 to Betsy Brunt who was 21. Henry was stated as a widower on the marriage certificate. How can I find out who his first wife was? The second marriage was in Eckington.

We could try and look for John and Henry on 1861 census, do you have the 2nd marriage certificate, hopefully it would state John's profession, that way we could narrow down.

there's a marriage of Henry Barker to an Emma Fletcher 1879 Chesterfield; and subsequently a death of a 22 yr old Emma Barker in 1881 in Chesterfield district. (All info from free BMD).... food for thought...

I don't have access to ancestry so I can't give you all the details, but Henry aged 16 in Eckington seems to be living with John and Elizabeth Barker in Eckington in 1871.
In 1881 there's a Henry Parker of the right age, unmarried and a coal miner living in Eckington as a lodger, along with Frederick Parker aged 11 - from 1871 it looks as though John and Elizabeth had a son Frederick of the right age. It would be worth looking at the image to see whether it's been mis-transcribed or the enumerator had it wrong.
