I am researching a number of threads. one of which is Margaret Sebastian born 28 Nov 1833 Tenston Sandwick Orkney, her father was Alexander Sabiston.
The line I am tracing is her son Frederick Thom, grand daughter Margaret Sebastion Thom, dreat grand daughter Isabella Larkin Paterson who died 1967 Heidleberg Victoria Australia
One of the family legends is that they were descendant from an Isabela Sebastion who was a Spanish Jew.
