I have the above census, which was a small mini census carried out in 1792 by the local minister.
It lists households by address and their occupants.
I've found what I needed so I'm happy to do look ups for anyone else that may have a family in the parish at that time.
Regards
Tracey

Hi
Just to add to Tracy's message.
The census was carried out to collect background information for the Balmaclellan entry in the Old Statistical Account:
http://stat-acc-scot.edina.ac.uk/sas/sas.asp?action=public
It provides a listing of members of each household with their ages. I have found a few of my ancestors in it.

Oh yes, thank you ... I may have the information already, but even the smallest clue is helpful ... am still trying to find out everything I can re: John and Margaret (McCartney) Currie. (their parents ?, born ?, any link that might lead me backwards.
Also looking for any info, at all, re; George Currie, son of John and Margaret, b.1817. George stayed in Scotland while his mother and 6 siblings went to Canada in 1849. Thanks so much. Sharron

Sorry for the delay, I've been working away. Not good news I'm afraid, no Curries or McCartneys in the census.
But there is a Mary McCartney mentioned in relation to the Kenmure Estate evictions of 1749. It just says "Mary McCartney in Kilnlull Croft"

Ed,
I'm away from home for a couple of days, but I'll look up the McKies and Littles for you when I get back.
