Between about 1880 and 1920, the son of Samuel Fox (umbrella and steel manufacturer), William Henry Fox, Esq., lived at Bradwell Grove, Burford, Oxfordshire. He lived with his semi-invalid mother and two live-in, lady companions - the Misses Firth. Does anyone know who these two ladies were?

Sorry, I cannot help you with the ladies.
I am wondering, though, if you have other information on Samuel Fox. My G G Grandfather, Edwin Fox, was a steel manufacturer and telegraph wire manufacturer, from 1860's on. he lived in Ecclesall in 1871. His father, George Fox was also a steel manufacturer.
I am trying to find out if it was Samuel Fox who gave them their start.
