About to start researching husband's side - he's finally decided to show a bit of interest! So all I have to go on is his father's birth certificate -
James Harold Saunders - parents Harold Bernard Saunders, mother Maud Louisa Dobey.
James born 2.4.1922, parents address 131 The Hearebreaks (sic), Watford
James died about 1990. He was an only child.
Anyone researching same line?

Hi,
My ggrandmother was a Saunders - her family came from Lilley. Her father David had many siblings and they all went on to have loads of children themselves. Will let you know if I come across anything that seems to be connected to your family. Happy searching  Jan

Thanks for the offer Rick, but as that really is all I have to go on - my census searching is a little limited. Can't find them on 1901 census so I think the parents were born after 1901. I next need to get their marriage certificate, unless one of my husband's relative (whom I've just mailed) comes up with any info.
