Hi I am looking for any darby's who came from barrow on soar leics, If anyone would of known a Lucy Darby who married John Benjamin selby,they had 3 children in england MABEL,DORIS AND JOHN CYRIL,I know My grandfather John cyril was born in loughborough leics in 1911. Lucy came to canada around 1912 following her husband (my great grandfather) John Benjamin selby wh o came to canada in 1911.

I have more information on the family I have been writing about. here it is. With a few corrections.
John Darby b abt 1856 barrow upon soar , worked as a Lime quarry man,in 1891 was a foreman and in 1901 was an engine driver,stationary. He married SARAH ANN HALL june qtr 1876, she was born abt 1858 in barrow upon soar.
children were. ALL BORN IN BARROW UPON SOAR.
THERESA ANNIE DARBY b abt 1877 june qtr, married BENJAMIN GEORGE WAITE in 1898 dec qtr. he was b abt 1879 in quorn and was an ELASTIC WEB WEAVER.
CAROLINE DARBY b abt 1879 dec qtr, married LUCIAN BRIGGS in 1903 dec qtr. He was b in barrow upon soar.CAROLINE BRIGGS (NEE DARBY) died in quorn at the age of 28 the 2 july 1907. and is buried in the Barrow upon soar cemetery .
BERTHA DARBY b abt 1882 march qtr married GEORGE HENRY HALLAM sept qtr 1903. in barrow upon soar.
EDITH DARBY b abt 1883
ALICE EDITH DARBY b abt 1884 march qtr, married JOHN SMART june qtr 1904
LUCY DARBY b abt 1885-86 dec qtr(I believe in october) married John Benjamin selby 15 july 1907 in the roman catholic church in barrow upon soar. JOHN BENJAMIN SELBY was born the 21 sept, 1884 in nottingham. They both died in Canada.
AMBROSE DARBY b abt 1887 dec qtr married ALICE GERTRUDE REDFERN march qtr ?? in Barrow upon soar . ALICE died the 18 february 1968 and was buried the 22 feb, 1968 at the age of 75. She was a housewife and she was buried in barrow upon soar cemetery. AMBROSE died the 13 January 1973 and buried the 18 of Jan, 1973 at the age of 85 in loughborough, and is buried in the Barrow upon soar cemetery .
GEORGE HENRY DARBY b abt june qtr 1891 married CHARLOTTE W LOVETTE dec qtr 1912 in barrow upon soar. GEORGE HENRY DARBY died the 12 june 1931 and buried the same day at the age of 40. He died at the SILEBY BRICK WORKS in mountsorrel and he was a brick maker.
MARY ELLEN DARBY b sept qtr 1893 married a WARD june qtr 1920 in barrow upon soar .She died the 4 dec, 1967 and buried the 7 dec, 1967 age 74.
JOHN CYRIL DARBY b abt march qtr 1896 married sept qtr 1918 to a HALL . John died the 30 may 1923 and buried the same day at the age of 27.

I also found a death for
Sarah Darby 36 years old june qtr 1894 7a 66 Leicestershire
she was alive in the 1891 census but by 1901 census Tom was a widow living with his daughter Lucy who was Single

I have found out the birth and death of my great grandmother LUCY DARBY , she was born the 17 oct, 1885 in barrow upon soar ,leics. and her mother(SARAH ANN DARBY, MAIDEN NAME HALL) was still alive around 1922, as Lucy had went over to visit her for a few months as Lucy was now living in canada. Lucy died in montreal the 17 oct, 1964.

WILLIAM DARBY b abt 1852 same , married ELIZABETH WINTERTON sept qtr 1877 barrow upon soar. She was b abt 1858 walsall staffordshire.
ELIZABETH DARBY b abt 1853 in barrow upon soar along with her twin sister MARTHA DARBY. ELIZABETH DARBY died 1903 loughborough.ELIZABETH married WILLIAM BAILEY b abt 1848 in sileby , baptized the 04/02/1848 and died 1896 sileby leics.They married the 27 may, 1872.
MARTHA married BERNARD SWANWICK BRETNOR in 1874 in barrow upon soar. BERNARD was b abt 1842 in tutbury staffordshire

SAMUEL DARBY b abt 1856 same, married  in 1883 in barrow upon soar
PRISCILLA DARBY b abt 1858 same, married HENRY THOMAS BRADSHAW in 1875 in barrow upon soar.HENRY was b abt 1856 in kingsthrope, northants.
GRACE DARBY b abt 1860 same married june qtr 1878 barrow upon soar.

I have the names of some of thier children and so on which comes from my great helper. But what I do need is to know who tthe brothers and sisters are of WILLIAM DARBY b 1821 barrow upon soar. The father of all these children so I may continue on the darby line.Thank you.

I am hoping someone can tell me if JOHN DARBY b abt 1828, but i think he was born more around 1830, barrow upon soar married ANN CHAPMAN b abt 1833 mountsorrel.
AND
WILLIAM DARBY b abt 1821 barrow upon soar,married ANN RICHARDS b abt 1825 bobbersmill nottingham,
are brothers or not??? if not could anyone give me any clues to who they belong to.William i think i know, if JOHN is not then who could be his parents?
