JOHN DARBY who married ANN CHAPMAN was born the 26 sept, 1827 and c 28 oct, 1827 and was b on bishop street wesleyan leicsParents were THOMAS DARBY and MARY DENNIS.

I have another family to add to the DARBY,S in hopes that someone will recognize any names.

THOMAS DARBY c 1764 barrow upon soar
ANN WILD c 1764, they married 15 sept,1782 barrow upon soar.

children:

WILLIAM DARBY c 15 june 1783, died 10 sept, 1854,(may of married ROSE HAINSWORTH)

ANN DARBY c 23 may, 1785 barrow upon soar, married JOHN MITCHELL the 8 nov, 1812 barrow upon soar.

JOHN DARBY b abt 1790 barrow upon soar

THOMAS DARBY b abt 1791 barrow upon soar, married MARY DENNIS 26 dec, 1809

DANIEL DARBY b 29 may, 1793 barrow upon soar

JOSEPH DARBY c 1792 barrow upon soar married ANN COOPER the 30 june 1814 barrow upon soar

JAMES DARBY c 2 may, 1796 barrow upon soar , married ANN OLDHAM 23 nov, 1818 in walton on the wolds

DANIEL DARBY b 3 june 1798 barrow upon soar

Got a small correction to make, which i just found out from
someone, ALICE EDITH DARBY daughter of JOHN DARBY and SARAH ANN HALL did not marry JOHN SMART but she married EDWARD NEALE. Wink

I have recently recieved this infromation from a sure contact that has helped me put together more names in my tree and which I can say are true as this comes from a DARBY decendant.I thought i would add this here as to help anyone who may be looking for these names as well and to help me put in a few more details.

CHILDREN of JOHN DARBY and SARAH ANN HALL

1.THERESA ANNIE DARBY b abt 1877 barrow upon soar, married BENJAMIN GEORGE WAITE. Had 2 daughters EVELYN WAITE and ROSA WAITE.

2.CAROLINE DARBY married LUCIAN BRIGGS in 1903caroline died in 1907 and LUCIAN died in 1918 from TB.

3.BERTHA DARBY married HARRY HALLAM or(george henry hallam) I found GEORGE HENRY HALLAM and my contact has HARRY HALLAM. They had 6 children.

4.ALCIE EDITH DARBY married 2 times. EDWARD NEALE(TED) AND BERNARD DEELEY. I believe with her first husband they had 2 girls.(THERE IS NO EDITH DARBY ONLY ALICE EDITH DARBY-I MADE A MISTAKE.)

5.GEORGE HENRY DARBY married CHARLOTTE W LOVETT. They had no children, GEORGE died about 1947 when he fell into a ciment truck.

6.MARY ELLEN DARBY married FREDERICK JOHN WARD

7AMBROSE DARBY married ALICE EDITH REDFERN

8.JOHN CYRIL DARBY I believe married a HALL but have no more details on him just when he died which was in 1923.

9.LUCY DARBY who married JOHN BENJAMIN SELBY

Could someone help me put together a few marriages for me.

I have found that a
MABEL MARY DARBY married either ARTHUR SHARPE or FRED TOWLE sept qtr 1905

I have 2 grace darby's who married 1. JAMES W GOODWIN SEPT QTR 1915

And another one who married either SAMUEL APPLETON or JAMES JOHNSON in barrow upon soar june qtr 1878

any help wopuld be appreciated.

I have the marriage certificate(which was sent to me by a member of the darby tree) of WILLIAM DARBY and ANN RICHARDS. It is written that they married the 12 march 1840 in nottingham(radford) WILLIAM was (full age) which I guess was 21. and ANN was (a minor) maybe 18?. WILLIAM was a labourer and his father was THOMAS DARBY also a labourer, and ANN RICHARDs was born in (I think its written HOLLANDS CLOSE HY??? GREEN) her father was EDWARD RICHARDS and it is written he was a farmer (deceased) witnesses were WILLIAM RICHARDS and ANN ESTERMAN). If anyone can add anything please do.

I was able to find some more children of

WILLIAM DARBY b sept qtr 1852 thrussington, married ELIZA WINTERTON abt 1877. ELIZA was b abt 1852 walsall staffordshire.

In 1901 they were living in HUNCOTE LEICS

CHILDREN:

1.lucy darby B ABT 1879 WALSALL STAFFORDSHIRE
2.ADA DARBY b abt 1880 huncote leics
3.CAROLINE DARBY b abt 1883 same
4.MABEL MARY DARBY b abt 1884 same
5.EMMANUEL DARBY b abt 1888 same
6.SAMUEL DARBY b abt 1890 same
7.WILLIAM DARBY b abt 1892 same
8.JOHN E DARBY b abt 1895 smae
9.GEORGE DARBY b abt 1898 same
10. JAMES R DARBY b abt 1900-01 same

I have a correction to make, ADA DARBY was born in huncote leics, but all the other children were born in ENDERBY,LEICS.

I have added a picture here of my great grandmother LUCY selby (darby) with her first born child CAROLINE MABEL SELBY. Lucy was about 21 or 22 here, taken in 1907.

Again I have found a slight bit more info on the latest DARBY family I wrote yesterday.
FOUND THIS IN THE 1901 CENSUS.

ARTHUR DARBY b abt 1860 peatling leics,but as civil parish has BARROW UPON SOAR HOLY TRINITY. why do they have he was born in peatling but his cicil parish is BARROW UPON SOAR???

His wife ELIZABETH A DARBY(nee??) b abt 1861 twyford buckinghamshire.

CHILDREN:all born in barrow upon soar

1.ARTHUR DARBY b abt 1885
2.EDITH E DARBY b abt 1888
3.WILLIAM L DARBY b abt 1890
4.FRANK DARBY b abt 1894
5.ELSIE DARBY b abt 1896
6.CYRIL DARBY b abt 1900

Now it seems that MAYBE they COULD b epart of my tree but I am not sure since ARTHUR (father) was born in peatling Huh

Just a bit confused Undecided
