Castle Hill Huddersfield...Im Here..Where are They

Hi all

Info is a bit shaky but....Catherine Shea was b 1864/65
Charles Dennehy b abt 1863 both in Castleisland.

Can anyone find a marriage for them and any children they had.



Not a lot of info but its all Ive got.

In order to order the marriage certificate you'll probably need to narrow down the date a bit. Did they have any children? if so, when was the oldest known child born?

Hi Aghadowey

The only child Ive any info about is Hannah b 1897/8 in Castleisland but I dont know if she is the 1st or last or even somewhere between  Grin..however I think there was about 11 or 12 kids altogether though I dont know how many survived.

Civil records for all Ireland are not online like those for other countries like England, Scotland, etc.
Without knowing when all the children were born it's still not clear when the marriage would have taken place.
However, the 1911 census for Co. Kerry is supposed to be put online in October 2008 (any day now?) At that time married women (not widows or widowers) were asked how many years married and how many children they'd had (and how many were living).
If this family were living in Kerry in 1911 you'll be able to get an approxiamate year of marriage in order to be able to purchase the certificate from GRO.

Marriage of CHARLES DENNEHY of CASTLEISLAND and CATHERINE SHEA of CASTLEISLAND on 7 November 1896

Charles parents were Daniel Dennehy & Mary Walsh
Catherine parents were Daniel Shea & Helen Griffin
