Hi Chris

Back to Philadelphia Hawkins, I think I have found her baptised at Burwash to John and Elizabeth Hoggins in 1782.

Now there is a John and Elizabeth Hawkins having children on the list you gave me at the right time and it could be a mistake on the part of whoever wrote the entry but would you mind checking the register for any other Hoggins around the 1780s time.

Thank you

Thanks Chris

Looks like her name on the marriage certificate must have been a mistake, especially as there is an earlier Philadelphia  Grin Grin

I found a marriage on the SMI for a John Hoggins and Elizabeth Piper 1778 too.

Hi Sheila

Yes thanks, we had a lovely break in the Peak district of Derbyshire and also spent a couple of days in Blackpool

There are only two entries in the burials that were sent to me, but it only covers a couple of years (1797 - 1798)

More transcription work on these will be done over the winter months

3      Elizabeth   Balkham      1 3 1797   Aged 80               Joseph Langley   Widow
3      Thomas    Balkham   fr the P.H.    4 4 1797  Aged 4               Joseph Langley   Smallpox 2
