Hi,
I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents and siblings of Robert Harry Rossiter born circa 1871 in West Ashford.
Strangely, I cannot find him in the 1881 UK Census hence the requests for later censuses.
Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Many thanks for that.
Young Gustavus born 1886 was the son of Gustavus Tomlin and Emma Elizabeth Joy.
They were married in the Sept Qtr of 1885 in Thanet.
Strangely I cannot find a marriage for Thomas & Charlotte. I'm just wondering if his mother-in-law has remarried and Charlotte is not Charlotte Solomon.

Is it possible please to check the 1841 Census to find Thomas's parents & siblings so that I can link them up with ancestors in my database?
Hopefully, that census would show him with his parents and siblings.

Thanks for that.
Robert Harry Rossiter was born 1871. The 1841 search I requested was to find Robert Harry's father (Thomas born 1838 in Paddington) living with his parents so that I could link him up with his ancestors in my database .
My grateful thanks go to Pam who reports that she cannot find Thomas or wife Charlotte in the 1841,1851 & 1861 Censuses.
Hope that clarifies matters.

I'm not sure if it will help or not but the son, Charles, born c1863 Paddington appears to be Charles Clifton ROSSITER - born 1863 Pancras RD, married 1899 West Ashford RD, died 1916 West Ashford RD and the Robert ROSSITER bc1865 Paddington appears to be Robert Sidney ROSSITER died 1871 W Ashford RD http://freebmd.rootsweb.com - just wondering if the "CLIFTON" could be significant
