Hi everyone, 2 problems really, (sorry) been using FTM2006 on new laptop (vista) for 6 weeks, no problem till today. Every time I start the programme, I get critical elements are missing, uninstall the programme & reinstall, data files have not been affected. If I do this it works perfectly, backs up, everything, but when I restart next time it does the same thing. My computer is clean (no virus) & I didn't make any changes before this happened. Installed FTM2009 & imported my tree great, but it didn't import my media, which is about 1,000 images etc. Surely I don't have to start from scratch, pleeeeze no. Hoping someone out there can help,

have you d/l the update for 2006? because you are using vista it needs an update, also images etc won't transfer from one version to another, it will only transfer the tree data
