Look up Jeremiah Sheehan Stockport 1851

Jeremiah Sheehan was a land surveyor. With the famine of 1845 he came to England with my ggrandfather Michael Sheehan b. 1840. he gave his place of birth as Pilltown and was probably RC. Michael ended up in Stockport, Cheshire where he married Alice ramsdale in 1862. I have all the information after 1871 but would like to find out where he was in 1851 and 61 and who came over with Jeremiah. Any further information gratefully received. Jim Phelan

         There is only one family named Sheehan in the 1851 Stockport census,

The 1861 is not name indexed so I can only search the same area, and found

there is no sign of the other Sheehan's in the same area.

Thanks for the look-up...they must have gone elsewhere before turning up in Stockport so I can eliminate that from the equasion...Jim
