Hi Roy,

My first post, I was googling 'William Fear of Warminster' and found this forum, of great interest to me as he was my Grandfather, and my parents and I lived with him and my Grandmother Elizabeth Ann in Warminster for the last couple of years of their lives. I hope I may be of some help, although I doubt it, from the number of posts you have made I would imagine you will know far more than me.

Best Regards

John

Hi Roy,

Thanks, unfortunately I don't seem to be able to reply to you by PM, I've checked the help pages but the icons etc to click on are missing, I think this may be normal, another forum I'm on prevents new members from using this facility.

Best Regards

Okay, well basically I explained my interest in William Fear; I am researching the village of Brithdir from pre-industry through to present times with the aim of one day writing its history.  That said I am collecting photographs and information of anyone who has a connection with Brithdir no matter how short a stay as I believe everyone as in some way contributed to its story.

Although I have lived in Caerphilly more years than I lived in Brithdir; its there I was raised and where my roots are cemented.  I still have family living there whom I visit regular.

If you have any photographs of your grandfather I would appreciate a copy.  If you have the facility of a scanner and are prepared to help then please scan at 600dpi.  In the mean time I will check through my files for any reference to William Fear.

Regards
Roy
