bagley family « on: Tuesday 01 February 05 18:45 GMT (UK) »
i am desperate to trace any grave records for the following family they seem to be a very large family which seemed to stay in the broseley/madeley area of shropshire from the info i have found
the info i have is as follows
edward bagley married elizabeth maiden 1840 children henry joseph george richard alfred elizabeth frederick annie edward and james
these all seem to have been christened in st leonards madeley from 1860 - 1869
james then got married to a mary surname at this point unknown and they had children
ernest levi (this being my grandad) born 1890 florrie born 1894 james alfred born 1873 harry born 1887 elizabeth born 1885 ernest edwin born 1870 died 1872 charles born 1880 ethel born 1880 jane born 1878 and william born 1876 all born in the broseley district
as i am the only living member from this side i have got no family members to ask my intentions are once i gather enough information is to visit broseley and madeley and iron bridge and hopefully visit the churches and grave yards i am also curious in the propertys they lived in are still around up north where i am from they would have been demolished as its a city but i was wondering if that was the case in broseley the addresses are 9 barratt hill broseley and 71 cape court broseley i do appreciate anyones help even on marriages or deaths etc on all the above

I have left you a message on your other thread regarding the Broseley website, There are photos on the website of every street in Broseley, many of the old houses still remain. It may be worth you joining the Broseley Family history Society.
From the free BMD site:
Marriages recorded Madeley district DEC QTR 1870 vol 6a page 1283 James Bagley others on page William John Hughes Mary Jane Poutney Harriet Emma Roberts May be your James if so looks like mary's maiden name was Poutney
I'll take a look on the 1851 census over the weekend and post any Bagley Details for you. Best wishes Becky
