Hi Hume & Daval,
It has been quite some time since our last contact. I have subscribed to Ancestry.co but unfortunately they do not have access to Scottish B.M.D's so I still have not been able to find Archibald McMillan's birth. I have been on the Fairweather family tree and they have Maggie & Donald but no children. I found a census address record of Archibald & Margaret McMillan as Rosebank cottages Bathville Armadale from Blackburn history library. Can you suggest any other ways I could find more information?

What information are you trying to find? Are you just looking for the details of Archibald McMillan's birth or his ancestors? If the latter, the census results I posted before should help to get you back further using a combination of SP and the IGI (for births, marriages) and Ancestry (census).

If it's Archibald's birth, I think you may need to just try every certificate for the name for that time. Undecided However, you will need to take into consideration several variations in spelling: McMullan, Mullan, Millan.

Hi Hume,
thanks for prompt reply. I have all the details of Archibald's ancestors, its really his details I'm looking for as to where he went after leaving Armadale. I will keep trying for births thanks anyway
