Hello AScot,

I have Moonlights from Kincardineshire in my line so I will look them up and see if we have a link.

My GGG grandmother was Elizabeth Moonlight who was born in Dunnottar in 1780. Her parents were John Moonlight born in Dunnottar in 1736 and her mother was Janet Grant. John Moonlight had a younger brother, David Moonlight, born in Dunnottar in 1740 so he may be the one you are enquiring about! I dont have a death date for David though. Sorry!!

Hello

For anyone who is not a member of the Moonlight family and to avoid duplication.

All from the IGI:

Margaret Moonlight married James Henderson on 12 July 1796 in Old Deer Aberdeenshire.  They had at least the following children born in Strichen Aberdeenshire.  All ‘extracted’ records.

Margaret Henderson   ch.  27 Jul 1798
Helen Henderson        ch.  26 June 1801
Alexander Henderson ch.  14 Dec 1806 Strichen, Aberdeenshire
James Henderson        ch.  25 Jan 1818

Have looked on www.freecen.org.uk and cannot find Margaret and James together? on the 1841 census.

Also had a look through the online MI's for the 4 nearest graveyards to Strichen (Fetterangus, Crimond, Lonmay, Rathen) on the online MI index for Aberdeenshire at:       http://www.abdnet.co.uk/mi-index/

As a matter of interest there are 2 Moonlight wills on SP.
