McFarlane
« on: Tuesday 21 October 08 17:11 UTC (UK) »

I have Andrew McFarlane, died 1880. His parents listed as Malcolm McFarlane, shoemaker, and Janet McDonald - but cannot find any birth registered for Andrew - working back from the census he must have been born at around 1796 - entry states this in Dunbarton -  or any marriage listed for Malcolm and Janet. I did find birth of Andrew's sister registered in Stirling ( Catherine McFarlane, born Baldernock, Stirling, 1799) but still no trace of Malcolm and Janet or where they were in Stirling. Can anyone help me? Please!

I was searching online for info about my great grandparents and Janet McFarlane was my great grandmother.  She married Robert Rochead on June 11, 1880 in Baldernock.  My grandmother, Christina Rochead moved to Canada after marrying, obviously a Canadian.
