Hi Gary. I'd like to ask for any photos of the gravestones in St John's, Sheriff Hill. On the occasional visits back to gateshead, I've always visited St John's and taken some photos. the two family names I'm interested in are WALES and HALL.
I have photos of Robert W. WALES d. 1946, Matthew WALES d. 1966 (and his wife and daughter), Joseph Foster WALES d. 1933 (and his wife). The only HALL photo is Henry HALL d. 1984, but no relation, but not my relation.
I have met every Rector of St John's since 1947, up until Rev Tully left, and even had our Rector from Texas go and give a service there.
My e-mail is (*) Gratefully, Rob HALL, Katy, TX

Hi I am looking for information on any Goodfellows or Davidsons buried in St Albans, Windy Nook. In particular my G/ Grandparents Matthew Goodfellow b1867 & Frances Goodfellow b1871 Also my G/Parents William Francis Davidson b1898 d1941? & Ann Catherine Davidson (nee Goodfellow) b 1903 d1939?.
My mother seems to think that at one time there were gravestones for them in St Albans but they have been removed (possibly water / flooding damage) Any information would be most helpful Kind Regards Ian

Hi Gary
Thanks very much for your quick reply and the link to that excellent site. I have ordered some images to see if i can glean anything from them.
Did my mention of headstones possibly being removed mean anything to you (ie do you think that it was possible) and if so do you have any idea who I could contact to find out more. Apologies for all the questions but I really am a novice at this
ps I have converted the list of St albans headstones into an Excel spreadsheet for easier reference - if a copy would be of any use to you please let me know Kind Regards Ian
