dear all
I am looking for a George Rogers born c1885, Princess Risborough, Bucks. He marries an Evelyn Mary Shurrock, born c1885, Long Crendon, Bucks,,,,, well sorry, that's all I have, sorry to be so vague 
I hope that there are not too many Rogers's in Princess Risborough at that time 
Oh yes, their first and subsequent children are all born in Wembley Middlesex, the first being born in c1905 and am still searching for their marriage.

This doesn't quite match, the lady's middle and surname are slightly out, and it seems to be a tad late, but:

George Rogers and Evelyn May Sherrock on the same page.
How sure of you of the birth year of the eldest child? What was the name ?

the kids names are ; George Henry Roland Rogers c1905, Evelyn c1906, Frederick c1909, Rosaline c1911, unknown female c1918, Murial c1919 and Sheila c1930, all born Wembley, Middx, all names appear in other generations of my tree except for Sheila, a bit vague I know and am busy searching free BMD for the births but not having too much success.
Incidentally I have a date of death of 1966 for George snr. and 1970 for Evelyn snr.

Given that the date for George Henry Roland was off, it's a bit difficult to be sure about the others, because Hendon district is littered with Rogers 
Do you have any other middle initials ?

Pete - I think asking him some more is an excellent idea 
It gets a bit shadowy, I must admit. Wemby was in Hendon district until 1947, when it was transferred to Willesden. Willesden was in Hendon district until Oct 1909 when it became its own district.
I mention this because - Muriel L Rogers was registered Willesden Q4. 1915 mothers maiden name Shurrock.
There are three others registered in Willesden - mothers maiden name Sherrock, which was the name on the marriage
They are:
Frederick P Q3. 1912
Constance E Q3. 1914
Joan Q4. 1924
all of which could be the right ones with a typo 
Of course, those between 1906 and 1912 dont have the mother's maiden name on the index, and therefore either of these Evelyns could be the one:
Evelyn Emma Q2. 1908
Evelyn May Q4. 1908 (same middle name as mother, so favourite
both registered Hendon
There is also a Frederick Joseph Q1. 1910 Hendon, no mother's name on.
I'll have another look for Rosaline Mary....

yes, the registration district is very confusing, thank you for the time periods for Wembley and all the birth entries, I'll compair them with the Free BMD results I have as I have 3/4 possibilities each time and this will narrow it down.
OK, I got a reply from my contact, great chap and very honest, seems that all is 'copy+paste', from others with no back-up from certificates/parish records etc, not even census material. So, I went in search of who is the origin of this research but it is impossible to find,,,,, so many have just copied and pasted, that the trail is dead,,, the danger of such site I guess ??
Well I did find someone who seems to have managed to get quite a bit together and it has revealed a few new things ;
i. firstly, George c1885 has another elder brother, Frederick Rogers c1881, Bucks, nothing more than that.
maybe someone can find the 1881 census details, or is that free on IGI ? the 1901 Census would be very welcome
ii. The parents of George c1855 are ; John Rogers c1831, Monks Ris., Bucks and Sarah King c1836 (unknown) birth place.
iii. Hmmmmm, looking further, John's siblings are ; Abel c1833, Elizabeth c1835, Rebbeca c1837, Gaius c1840, dies 1842, James c1846, all born Monks Ris. Bucks and parents ; William Rogers c1811 Monks Ris. and Harriet Smith c1812, Monks Ris.
Well, that's a turn up for the books !!! it even gives Parents of William c1811 as Joseph Rogers c1777 of Monks Ris and Hannah (unknown) c1750.
iv. Received a Gedcom file from my original contact, but cant open it ! I hope to purchase Family tree maker pretty soon though, from Ancestry I believe ? If anyone would be so kind as to check it out for me in the mean time, just send a PM and I'll e-mail it.
